Surviving the recession and "difficult economy" was a significant achievement for Amy Birnbaum, Jon Epstein and Royal Coachman. Many of their customers experienced a significant decline in business in 2008 and 2009 and Royal Coachman watched business travel, including chauffeured ground transportation – drop off significantly, if not entirely, from company to company, customer to customer.
"Although our customers were hit very hard, innovation and keeping our message in the marketplace has kept Royal Coachman growing in a struggling economy. To me, this is my most significant business achievement in recent years", Birnbaum stated. In 2010 and beyond, Amy is determined to invest even more of herself into developing the company's strategic direction and continuing to take the Royal Coachman winning philosophy to others.
"As a Certified Women Owned Business (WBENC), I feel a personal obligation to lend a hand to other women-owned businesses to succeed. If a woman is willing to do the work to live the dream, the rewards are there," said Birnbaum.
