Our Chauffeurs

We consider our chauffeurs the very best in the business. All are Royal Coachman employees - rather than private contractors, as is the case with many limousine companies.

We maintain a very high retention rate - believed to be the highest in the industry - with our chauffeurs averaging over seven years of service with us. This is due, we believe, to our large book of business (our chauffeurs are commissioned), our benefits package, our philosophy of treating employees the same way we treat our customers, our state-of-the-art technology, and our intensive, ongoing training and safety programs.

Royal Coachman chauffeurs can be easily identified by their crisp black suit, white shirt and company tie. All our chauffeurs must undergo a stringent series of background screenings and training processes (by us as well as our insurance company and the town of Denville). They must pass a stringent background check - criminal, drug & alcohol, DMV, social security verification - and show a strong work ethic with excellent customer skills.

They receive both classroom and on-the-road training. This includes classes in customer service, safe driving skills, map reading and proper use of the latest technology, offered by a certified AAA Road trainer.
