In the modern-day work environment, there are a couple of things that make a job worth pursuing. It begins with a decent salary and an equivalent set of responsibilities. However, it extends beyond that. There are other perks and benefits that make a job more attractive to a potential employee in the competitive American workplace. Some of these include health insurance and retirement plans.

Yet, the most exciting and unique perk an employer can offer is travel. We understand that employee travel incurs additional cost. Nevertheless, it is often worth it. Outlined below are five reasons traveling is important for employees.

It Helps Boost Morale

One of the easiest ways to keep employees’ morale high, is through a promise of a vacation. This is even more effective if you are picking a hot destination, such as New Jersey. The hotels cost between $100 and $500 per night, and there are many attractions there too.

Employees will get through the everyday hard work, knowing there is a hotel room booked in this hot destination as a reward for hard work. This will lead to an increase in employee retention, and consequently, productivity.

Employee Travel Helps Relieve Stress

One reason most employers recommend regular vacations for their employees is to keep their stress level down. Visiting new destinations to relax serves as a form of stress relief from all the work. Consequently, they will have lower chances of developing physical or mental health problems over time.

Exposure to New Cultures

Exposure to new cultures is especially significant for employees whose job description requires a high level of creativity. Such an exposure offers an opportunity to see things in a new perspective and helps them develop new ideas.

Ultimately, they’ll become better thinkers. It could also help them rediscover their interest and motivate them to work smarter. What you get from this is obvious, a higher productivity and overall job satisfaction.

Travel as Part of the Job

In some cases, you don’t need to convince of the importance of travel. It is simply a basic part of your job. Employees have to travel as part of their work responsibilities. It sometimes includes traveling to other cities for industry conferences or trade shows.

However, you can still make the travel an enriching experience for employees by presenting it as a benefit. One way of doing this is by attaching a couple of perks with the trip, such as a luxurious car service or a room upgrade.

It Helps Create a Better Office Culture

Employee travel in whatever form it comes, either work or vacation, helps promote a better office culture. It allows your employees to feel comfortable with being away from the office. This leads to more relaxed employees with better performance.

Also, since travel can be a form of incentive, it leads to higher morale. In the end, you’ll have motivated workers, with a high level of productivity.

Our New Jersey limousine service makes it easy to get anywhere you want in New Jersey. We provide chauffeur service in New Jersey that is both safe and professional. No matter where you go in this state this summer, you can count on us to be there for you with fast and efficient service.

Cape May

Located at the very end of the Jersey Shore, Cape May is a town of beautifully colored houses and gentle waters. Stay on a side street at one of the town’s lovely bed-and-breakfasts with a view of the beach. This is the place to head if you want to relax on the beach or watch whales off the coast or you just like the small-town life.

The Boardwalk

New Jersey is home to dozens of boardwalks. The area’s boardwalks stretch for miles. You’ll find a safe place to sit, lots of people watching and an easy walk to the beach. Sample some ice cream on a hot day and enjoy the cool breezes.

The Food

If you’re hungry, come visit New Jersey. Dozens of diners dot the landscape. Many of them are open twenty-four hours a day. Enjoy New Jersey classics like disco fries, Taylor ham, and authentic Italian food. Try a slice of pizza or sample some authentic Indian dishes from one of the area’s many inexpensive buffets.

The Wildwoods

The Coney Island of New Jersey, the Wildwoods offer an endless series of fun activities that are all about enjoying yourself. Take the famous tram car from one end of the boardwalk to the other to see it closely. Play games all day long like skeeball that allow you to test your motor skills against others. This is a great place to head for all sorts of fried treats including fried fish, fried seafood and even fried Oreos. Sit on the boardwalk at night and watch the area’s free fireworks displays.

The State Parks

While New Jersey is one of the smallest states in the country, it has lots of state parks. High Point state, in the northwest corner, offers views across the entire area and a lake where you can swim. Other parks with lakes that you can swim in and lots of hiking including Swartswood Lake and Lake Hopatcong. Barnegat Lighthouse State Park is a shore park with a working lighthouse.

Travel can be both an exciting and stressful experience, especially when visiting a new location for the first time. Driving in an unfamiliar city – perhaps in a rental car – can increase this stress considerably. One way to reduce this anxiety is to hire the services of a quality chauffeur.

How can you benefit by hiring a car service while visiting New Jersey? Consider a few of the ways a personal chauffeur will make your travels more enjoyable.

Avoid the stress of inaccurate directions.

Even the best GPS mapping system may be unaware of new construction, detours, road closures, or address changes. Consulting a GPS device or written directions while driving can be distracting to the driver. Rely instead on a knowledgeable chauffeur to get you to your hotel, show you the sights, and perhaps even to suggest nearby restaurants and attractions.

Get to your appointments on time.

Chauffeurs should be familiar with traffic patterns and alternate routes, so even when the unexpected occurs, they can get you to your destination in a timely fashion. If you are traveling for business purposes, this is sure to make a positive impression on both your employer and clients.

Enjoy more time to kick back and relax.

By some estimates, the average American spends more than thirty-four hours per year caught in traffic congestion. Whether traveling for pleasure or for business, reclaim some of that time by letting an experienced chauffeur handle the driving. From the back seat, feel free to read a good book, surf the net, or catch up on some shut-eye. Let your travel time be an integral part of your vacation.

What Makes a Good Chauffeur?

Unparalleled customer service. Chauffeurs should be always respectful, professional, polite and courteous. They take what they do seriously, and are therefore willing to go out of their way to make you, the customer, happy. Don’t be surprised when they help with your bags, hold your umbrella, and open doors for you, all with a smile.

Knowledge. It is said that knowledge is power. Professionals should be armed with enough mechanical knowledge to correct small, unexpected problems that may arise, such as a flat tire. This will ensure that you receive the service you deserve and get to your destination on time.

A professional appearance. Chauffeurs should stand out in a crowd because they always display dignity in their dress, grooming, and decorum.

As a transportation company with experience, Royal Coachman gathered a few tips for holiday travel for our readers and customers.

Arrive Early and Plan Ahead

You don’t think that you are the only one who wants to fly; it’s peak travel season. So plan ahead, will save you time and money. Airports are always busier during this season, and with less availability, missing your flight could mean missing your entire trip.

The number one tip from the TSA is to arrive early when flying. There is likely to be more traffic on the roads near the airport, so it will take longer to get to the terminal. The lines will be longer at airline check-in counters, at the checkpoints because airplanes are fully booked.

Plan to arrive at least two hours before a domestic flight out of a major airport. And if you’re looking to significantly reduce your wait time, remember that there is still time to enroll in the TSA Pre-Check program. By enrolling in the program, passengers can speed through security and don’t need to remove their shoes, laptops, liquids, belts and light jackets.

Fly Direct

Try to fly direct, if it’s possible. The weeks between Thanksgiving and New Years are the busiest travel period of the year, so there are more chances of lost luggage and other disruptions to your itinerary. Even if it saves you money a connection can accumulate on the stress because it increases the probability of something going wrong.

Usually, the money saved isn’t worth the hassle of having to deal with anything that goes wrong.

Pack lighter and smarter

To help with reducing the wait time, make sure you pack smart. Check the TSA website to see what you can carry through a checkpoint. Determine what to put in your carry-on and what will be in your checked luggage, better yet if you don’t check any. Remember that with such a busy season mistakes do happen, and your luggage could get lost.

It might be smarter to pack the essentials in your carry-on and ship extra items. Make sure things you need like your boarding pass, I.D., or passport are easily accessible.

Ship Gifts or Extra Luggage

In addition to packing smarter and lighter, consider shipping your gifts. After all, sending presents to your destination in advance has its advantages: you avoid any potential excess baggage and overweight fees, and also you minimize the likelihood of your gifts getting lost.

Alternate Dates for your vacation

If you have flexibility, plan your vacation in January instead of traveling in December. In January the airports are less crowded, air fares are lower, and travel is generally calmer than the Holiday Season.

We know that the holidays are a perfect time to be with friends and family but choosing to see everyone in January will save you from the hassles of the crowds. If you are planning a spring vacation instead, be sure to book your flights and hotel accommodations early.

Travel with Royal Coachman

If you’re planning on traveling this holiday season, don’t deal with the winter traffic and don’t stress about renting a car or finding a parking place.

The right move is to book Royal Coachman. A professional ground transportation company like New Jersey Limo Service can handle your ground transportation needs and can take all the stress away.

Being a company that provides complete chauffeured ground transportation services, Royal Coachman picks up travelers from all over the globe. They come to NY area for various reasons, amongst which are the job interviews.

These agitated, enthusiastic and overwhelmed travelers can relax during their transportation, forget about their worries and just admire the city. Going to interviews and offsite meetings is quite nerve-racking without taking into consideration all the planning and drama of traveling. But be sure to follow the following tips and you won’t have to focus on anything else but your job interview.

Expenses

Usually, if a company is interested in meeting with you for a job interview, they are prepared to pay for your travel expenses. In case you have doubts, find out by approaching the issue in a gentle and polite manner. Do not assume that the interested company will compensate your travel expenses. Also, be prepared to cover a portion of your travel costs. Your willingness to invest time going to the interview will demonstrate high interest in the job. Don’t ruin the first impression by appearing greedy.

If they are willing to pay and don’t mind you making your own travel arrangements for the interview, don’t exaggerate with a five-star hotel and first class plane ticket. Paying respect to the company’s resources will ensure you score points with the hiring manager.

Pack Lightly

If your interview is on the same day that you are traveling, pack only your essentials in a handbag, but don’t forget to take with you a backup outfit. This allows you to make any last minute changes if the need arises. A spare wardrobe selection in your handbag is always a good idea for various motives. For example, if you lose your luggage you won’t have to go to your interview in jeans. Or, if you spill anything on yourself, you won’t have to worry. The selected outfits must suit you and help you create the best impression possible.

When traveling for your interview, one of the worst things that can happen to you is to arrive late. You have to know for sure when you must reach the airport, arrive at your hotel or the office. Take your time and plan how you’ll get from your hotel to the interview. Usually, the prospective companies provide transportation for potential future employees. While planning and coordinating your transportation, be sure not to depend only on your cell phone just in case your battery dies or your internet connection is faulty. So, print out your directions and even the details of a reliable ground transportation provider.

Wakeup Plans

To arrive on time for the interview, don’t forget to set as many alarms as necessary: on your phone, computer and even ask the hotel concierge to give you a wake-up call to have enough time to get ready. Avoid the risk of sleeping in and then rushing to the interview. You must be well-rested, prepared and calm by the time you arrive at the job interview.

It is recommended that you take a 45 minutes safeguard period to avoid unexpected problems with your wardrobe, other emergencies or traffic issues. You should also have a healthy breakfast, prepare once more for the interview and then get ready to head out.

Think of the Next Day

When planning your trip, we advise you to book an extra day in the city, especially if you’ll be in New York. If the interview goes well, the interviewing company might want you to meet with others in the company. If it’s not the case, then you can visit the city and decide whether or not it would fit you. The city will fascinate you because of its amazing collection of restaurants, museums, bars and outdoor areas to visit.

We hope that these tips were useful as they are meant to help you forget about stress and let you concentrate only on the interview. If you want to book a car service for your interview in order to be sure you get everywhere on time, you can check our services.

NEWARK AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION so you can relax after the flight and admire the city on your way to the hotel

Traveling abroad is both a stimulating and an amazing experience, no matter if you travel for work or recreation. The trip might end, but you’ll bring back home images of far away countries, fascinating historical or notable sights, great food and new cultures. Traveling implies a multitude of decisions, but there are several guidelines to follow that can make your international journey much easier. By following these steps, you will diminish the stress level and will be able to ignore the small irritating details and concentrate on the purpose of the trip.

Get a Handbag

Everyone has experienced at least once losing their bags or having them arrive at a later date. So, if there are essential items that you really cannot live without, deposit them in your carry-on! This recommendation is valid mainly for items that can’t be easily replaced, such as expensive items or things with sentimental value. Also keep in mind that the way in which you pack your handbag will help you get through security faster.

The Hotel

This is important in case you’ll skip your flight connection or even if you’ll lose your luggage, situations in which you’re going to need the information for the hotel. Before you board the plane, you should print out the hotel’s name, phone number and address. Once you get to the hotel, take a business card from the front desk, so you won’t have any problem if you get lost: the card will specify the name and the address of the hotel in the local language. Almost everywhere around the globe are numerous people who speak English, but it doesn’t hurt to be extra cautious and have a piece of paper with something written in a local language that can be understood by locals and taxi drivers.

Passport

The expiration date on your passport is rather interpretable. The U.S. allow you use your passport up to the date specified inside. But some countries won’t let you enter their territory if the passport expires in less than six months. Why can this be possible? They are extra cautious in case you are constrained to remain overseas longer than anticipated. They want to make sure that you have a valid passport to return to the United States eventually. To avoid this kind of situation, better renew your passport at least nine months before the expiration date.

Getting Cash

People are accustomed to depending on an ATM to withdraw money, but many U.S. banks charge excessive fees for using an ATM that is out of network. You may withdraw a significant amount of cash at the airport ATM so you have to pay that fee only once, but it’s never recommended to carry large sums of money. One of the motives is that you’ll end up having too much local currency left over once your trip ends. Fidelity and Charles Schwab both offer checking accounts with no minimum balance requirements and also reimburse you for all ATM fees, including those from overseas.

Credit Cards

You can find better exchange rates by using your credit card. But most of the times, many credit cards will charge a foreign transaction fee, even as high as 3 percent. To avoid it, you can get the Chase Sapphire Preferred card or the Platinum American Express card. These cards don’t impose this fee.

Fraud alerts

Before leaving the country, notify your credit card company’s fraud department of what states you will be traveling to and on what period. So, they won’t consider your card stolen and shut it off just when you most need it. Be vigilant of any countries where you only change plane because you might have to pay with the credit card to make a charge during your break, especially if there’s a delay.

Credit card chips

New chip-embedded cards are becoming more and more popular outside of U.S., including in Europe, Canada and Asia-Pacific. This new technology, recognized as E.M.V. (Europay, MasterCard and Visa), uses embedded chips that contain personal information about the cardholder. A secret PIN is required for authentication in these cases.

Almost everywhere in the world, entities that issue credit cards demand that people also choose a PIN. This way you’ll keep your cards and personal information secure. When you use chip-and-PIN, the EMV chip creates a unique ID for the respective transaction. Plus, you also have to unlock your card with your PIN.

American Express Card Members can still make use of their magnetic stripe cards all over the globe, without a PIN. Simply give your card to the merchant for approval; don’t worry if the merchant’s terminal is set up for chip and pin as it will still accept magnetic stripe cards. If you are at a railroad kiosk or other terminal that only accepts chip-and-pin cards, just show your magnetic stripe card to a clerk at a window for authorization and assistance.

Double-check that your credit card can be used abroad. Some EMV readers in certain countries may not read a card with both a stripe and a chip.

Medicine

For you to be stress-free while traveling, it’s important to have with you a medicine bag filled with antacids, pain relievers or any other necessary medicine. If your destination is a less developed country, then it is even more important to bring proper medication. A lot of travelers fill a prescription in advance for the antibiotic ciprofloxacin and bring it with them in case they need it. Make sure you have all of your recipes up to date and the doctor’s notes with you when traveling. This will help you answer questions about your medication.

Travel alerts

It’s a good idea to check the site of State Department for travel warnings and alerts. It’s also best to print out the address and contact information of your local embassy.

Data roaming

Make sure you set up your cell phone to prevent international data roaming. The businessmen who travel a lot have an international calling and data plan, but occasional travelers don’t. Transmitting data overseas is very costly. Your mobile phone can consider itself as being on foreign soil even when you are in the United States, a situation that can be encountered at the borders of Canada or Mexico. In this situation, if you do not have an international plan, shut off your data roaming and turn it back on once the nearest cell tower is back in the US.

It doesn’t have to be a stressful task to travel internationally. The preparations can seem to take forever but following the guidelines specified above will ensure you an easier international travel.

All of us like to travel, but most people consider getting to the chosen destination as being extremely tiring. The long hours spent in a metal tube with lots of strangers, the not-so-comfortable posture, and the fact that you get easily bored are among the disadvantages. But the more you travel, the easier you’ll get through these long flights with the help of some strategies that you’ll develop.

Our minds and bodies are not identical. Only through frequent plane rides will you discover which methods suit you. Here are five tips for surviving long and boring flights.

Reserve a good seat

An apparently simple thing, such as choosing the right seat, can turn your flying experience into either a good or a bad one. It is clear that you should avoid the middle seat. The fact that you have to share the armrests with two people can be unpleasant and annoying, all the more when you’ll have to do it for 12 hours. Take into consideration the fact that maybe spending a little more on a better seat can ensure you a more enjoyable flight. If possible, avoid the seats situated near a restroom because of the heavy and noisy traffic.

Find a way to sleep

On long flights, it’s imperative to get some sleep, or you’ll look and feel like a walking zombie for a couple of days. You have to begin by wearing cozy, not very tight and warm clothes because most airplane cabins are heavily air-conditioned.

Each of us has a method of sleeping on a flight. For example, you either don’t get any rest all night before the flight, or you can take a sleeping pill or a cup of tea. Whatever you might choose, you should try it out before the flight, so you are familiar with the reactions of your body.

Other tried methods include using an eye mask, earplugs, a travel pillow, or a cozy blanket. These little things can make a huge difference.

In case you still can’t fall asleep, you should get out of your seat, stretch, or walk back and forth a few times to get your blood running again. Or try to have a conversation with a flight attendant; one of the interesting stories that they have to share may distract you from your insomnia.

If you haven’t slept at all during your flight, try exercising regularly and going to sleep at a normal time when you reach your destination to better overcome jet lag.

Keep yourself busy

If you are not sleeping, the most important thing to do is make yourself busy so you don’t get bored. The flight companies’ entertainment selection isn’t so varied. So, you should prepare ahead and make a stockpile of the gadgets for your favorite games, movies, or TV shows, or even try to get some work done.

A pair of good headphones is a wise investment, if possible noise-canceling ones, to prevent any disturbances by the noise of the plane or by the other passengers.

Stay hydrated

A thing many people don’t even realize is that flying dehydrates. Just consider that everyone is breathing in the same overused, recirculated air for 10-plus hours. Also, the airplane food is high in sodium, contributing to body dehydration. The solution is to prepare yourself with healthy snacks (some fresh fruits or a salad). If you want to try the in-flight cuisine, we recommend avoiding the meats because they abound in additives and preservatives.

If you’re flying with a low-cost carrier, it’s possible that you won’t benefit from free water. So buy a bottle of water before you board, just in case. If the water is complimentary on the flight, we advise you to order a cup every time the flight attendant walks by, even if you don’t feel the need to drink it. It’s also imperative not to drink alcohol because it will wear out your body even more.

Freshen up

You should also freshen up halfway through the flight or whenever you feel the need to resist until the end of the flight. To do that, remember to put the necessary toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, face wash) within reach so you can easily access them during the flight.

If nothing else works, just remind yourself that all flights will eventually come to an end, so try to relax and restrain yourself from feeling frustrated.

When you reach your destination, you should relax and avoid wasting time at the airport.

After job searching for some time, you have finally been invited to travel out-of-town for an interview. While exciting, this also comes with stress. For an enjoyable trip while nailing the job interview, you have a number of options. Because travel on its own is stressful, this stress can easily carry over into the interview, which is something that you definitely want to avoid.

Helpful Travel Tips

Light Packing—To avoid long wait times at baggage claim, pack light and use a carry-on. By using a carry-on, you save time and effort. With so many innovative designs, you can pack everything you need for a successful interview in a carry-on. For added security, consider using a luggage tag that prevents your carry-on from being lost or stolen.

Adequate Rest—Make sure you arrive the night before the job interview so you are fully rested the following morning. Your mind will be sharper and more focused for your interview.

Have a Backup Alarm—Obviously, you never want to be late for an important job interview, especially one that you traveled to from out of town. Use more than one alarm system to make sure you are awake on time. For one thing, ask for a morning wake up call from the hotel, but in addition, use the small alarm clock provided in your room and set the alarm on your phone. While this might seem like overkill, some people have lost out on job opportunities due to not waking up on time.

Eat a Healthy Breakfast—On the day of the interview, make sure you eat a healthy breakfast. You want to avoid heavy foods that can cause you to feel sluggish, bloated, or even gassy. A much better option involves choosing foods that promote physical energy and mental clarity. For instance, a small cup of yogurt with fresh berries, a granola bar, a bowl of oatmeal, or a toasted bagel are all good choices.

Arrive Prepared, Leave Confident

An out-of-town interview is more than just a trip—it’s an opportunity to present your best self without distractions. By planning ahead, staying organized, and taking care of your energy and focus, you can turn travel from a source of stress into a quiet advantage. When you arrive rested, composed, and ready, you give yourself the space to concentrate on what truly matters: making a strong impression and stepping confidently into your next opportunity.
