Regardless of which end of the city you live in or plan to visit, you will be amazed at the huge number of event choices. When planning to visit more than one venue, especially if they’relocated a good distance apart, a New Jersey limo service is the best way to get around.

If you follow a budget but would love to make this Halloween extra special, you can. With a little bit of ingenuity and planning, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish.

Inexpensive Costumes

To find great costumes while sticking to a budget, consider the following tips:

Avoid Retail Stores – The cost of costumes in retail stores is relatively high. Instead, look at thrift stores, garage sales, auction sites, and online swap shops where Halloween costumes are easy to find and extremely affordable.

Swap with Family and Friends – You can swap costumes with people you know. Many people put Halloween costumes in storage, so before you buy, ask around to see if someone has a costume in good shape that they would be willing to exchange for one that you own.

Trick or Treating

You can also make trick or treating fun for your kids, as well as those in the neighborhood, without spending much money on candy and other goodies.

Trick or Treat Bags – Rather than purchase store-bought bags, have your children use a pillow case to carry candy and goods.

Candy and Other Goods – Candy and other goodies handed out for Halloween are always going to be more expensive when initially put on the shelves. However, if you wait until Halloween day, you can save anywhere from 30% to 70% off the price. In addition, watch the newspaper and check online for coupons.

Entertaining

For small and large Halloween parties, you can make a lasting impression — even on a budget.

Establish a Budget – It is important to create a budget and stick with it. Having a financial plan helps you gravitate to things that you can afford, thus keeping the cost of purchases low.

Good Planning – For the best savings on decorations, linens, and other items needed for a party, make purchases immediately after the prior year’s Halloween season. With this, you will enjoy tremendous savings. Then simply put the items in storage and use them to entertain in the upcoming year.

Homemade Decorations – This is the perfect opportunity to get creative. Even if you are not typically a creative person, you can go online and find thousands of easy-to-make costumes and decorations that cost very little.

The Perfect Halloween Treat

Even if you are on a budget for Halloween, you will be amazed to find that limousine services are affordable. In fact, compared to other modes of transportation, this is often more cost-efficient means of getting around. To get to and from parties, you can always hire a chauffeur.

This year will be no different in that the cities, as well as local businesses, have gone out of their way to make this holiday a time to remember.

Celebrating Labor Day

New Jersey is known for its vast number of festivities during Labor Day. Following are just a few that people tend to gravitate toward.

Manasquan – On September 5th, Manasquan will feature a live concert performed by the group called Moonlighting, followed by an incredible fireworks display.

Tour de Farm – With this event, you can get a small taste of what it is like to watch professional bicyclists in France. Held on September 6th in Sussex County, this is just one of three bicycling tours, all organized to promote farmers and their New Jersey farms.

Nutley Street Fair & Craft Show – If you enjoy looking at beautiful crafts made by local artisans, this is a great event. The show is scheduled for September 6th where more than 400 vendors, crafters, and artists will have incredible wares on display.

Barbecue – No Labor Day weekend would be complete without a good old-fashioned barbecue. In Mercer County at Sculpture Park, you and your family can dine on veggie burgers, hot dogs, and hamburgers prepared by the Peacock Café. For dessert, delicious ice cream sundaes will be served.

50s Party – Your year of birth does not have to be in the 1950s, nor is it a requirement for you to have been raised in the 1950s, to enjoy this fabulous, five-day Labor Day party. Everyone who comes has the opportunity to travel back in time with this 33rd annual party.

Wild Hot Rod Weekend – If you appreciate fast and wild cars you will love this event. In all, there will be more than 1,000 cars present, along with celebrities, vendors, live bands, and even a swap meet.

Mendham Borough Labor Day Parade – This annual event will be held on September 7th starting at 10:00 am. The parade will run along Mountain Avenue and Main Street in Mendham Borough, something people of all ages will enjoy.

Making Labor Day Special

This year, you can make Labor Day in New Jersey even more special by hiring a chauffeur. With this, you will find it easier to get around while also having the chance to relax a little as you go from one event to another.

If you’re looking for incredible fireworks, there’s plenty of option. Whether you want to spend it on the beach, at a state fair, or by the Manhattan skyline, you’ll find the perfect show for you.

Here are four of the best NJ 4th of July fireworks shows:

Catch a World-Famous Show in Hoboken

For over five years, Macy’s has sponsored an amazing fireworks display from New York, right on the beautiful Hudson River. To catch some of the best views of the show, however, you don’t need to be in New York – you can watch them right in New Jersey.

Park yourself alongside the river in Hoboken, usually in Maxwell Park, and you’ll have a perfect view of the Manhattan skyline, and of the show. You’ll be able to experience these world-famous fireworks without having to fight the world-famous New York City traffic!

Take in Two Fireworks Displays in Wildwood

In Wildwood, the 4th of July celebration is much more than a single fireworks display. It lasts three days and actually has two separate shows. The weekend starts on Friday, with a craft show on the boardwalk and a collectible event in the Convention Center. Later that evening, there’s an amazing fireworks display right on the beach.

On Saturday evening, the true extravaganza begins. Around 10 pm, a much larger display begins on the beach near Morey’s Piers. If you’re lucky enough, you can catch the lights and sounds from the top of a Ferris wheel!

Watch a Spectacular Event at the NJ State Fair

Every year, the State Fair in the Meadowlands opens up for several weeks, culminating with an incredible fireworks display on Independence Day. It features the largest Kiddieland in the state, as well as plenty of thrilling rides for teenagers and adults. Petting zoos, delicious foods, and lots of unique shopping make it the perfect destination for a holiday afternoon.

Once evening hits, the show begins. The sky lights up with radiant colors and incredible shapes, the perfect nightcap to a fun day for the whole family.

Family-Friend Festival on the Camden Waterfront

If you’re looking for family fun a bit further south, the Camden Waterfront Freedom Festival is perfect for you. For children, there’s playhouses, entertainment, face painting, and lots of food. For adults, there’s a full-blown Beer Garden, complete with representatives from local breweries and vineyards.

At 9:30 pm, the fireworks show begins. Set right over the Delaware River, viewers will be treated to an incredible show with the Philadelphia skyline in the background.

No matter where you choose to enjoy your 4th of July weekend, make sure to travel safely! Remember to reach out to Royal Coachman whenever you need travel assistance whether it’s airport transportation, corporate shuttles, or luxurious travel on a special day – like the 4th of July!

Trying to make Father’s Day special from a distance? Whether you’re forced to travel far from home this Father’s Day or are wishing you could be closer to your own father this year, you know how hard it can be to stay close to your kids (or parents!) when life puts miles between family. These tips offer simple ideas to stay in touch with your family even when you’re miles from home.

Turn the Tables

When you’re far from home, your ability to work family situations to your advantage is limited. One thing you always have on hand, though? The element of surprise! Father’s Day is traditionally a day for families to say thank-you to their dads. But that doesn’t mean it’s not also an acute reminder that your own kids are far away on Father’s Day weekend. Take the chance to use your knowledge of your family’s expectations and routines to surprise them–whether that means Saturday morning Skype session, an unexpected phone call from time zones away, or even flowers and candy–flowers for your kids’ mom (who’s acting as both mother and father while you’re away) and candies for the kids. It might seem like a backwards way to spend Father’s day, but if you’re missing your family, nothing beats the opportunity to surprise them with a little unexpected love.

Talk to Your Dad

Even if you’ve been grown and out of the house for a couple of decades, chances are good your dad is thinking about you this Father’s Day. Take the time to get in touch with your dad or send him a gift. If your dad’s a foodie, think about picking up something for him from your current business travel locale. In Seattle? Pick up a bag of specialty coffee beans. Spending a week or two overseas? Get your father something that will make him smile, whether that’s a goofy tee-shirt from an airport gift shop, a coffee mug to add to the collection, or a special bottle of vintage. Even if you don’t get a chance to mail it before Father’s Day weekend, choose a gift and write a note or, even better, give your dad a call, and mail your package when you have an opportunity.

Treat Yourself

Sometimes you don’t have many options to make a hectic work trip more enjoyable. But finding ways to schedule some down time this Father’s Day can make a big difference in your contentment levels–and your ability to bring your best self to the table when you go back to work. Take a Royal Coachman sedan to the hotel from the airport. Take the time to enjoy room service or a nice meal, rather than take-out. Spend a few hours enjoying your destination, even if it’s not one you would have chosen. Sometimes those little things make all the difference.

Tuesday is the busiest day for the roads and the airports, likely because people are trying to arrive by Christmas but don’t want to leave too early (especially if they are booking a hotel or feel as though they are imposing on family). Try to leave on Monday or even the weekend before Christmas if you want to make it easier on yourself. You can also leave on Wednesday instead of Tuesday — though that might be a bit tight timing.

Head back home on Sunday.

Rather than heading back home on Saturday, leave on Sunday — Saturday is much busier, likely because people want to head home and relax before work starts again. If you leave on Sunday (or even the following Monday), consider taking a long weekend to relax. Naturally, the longer you wait, the easier it will be to go home. You might even want to consider making a brief vacation of it; you could book a hotel in the area and relax for a little while. Remember, once you are at the airport and are encountering delays there, there’s very little else you can do besides wait.

Consider the path less traveled.

There are a few ways that you can avoid the worst of the rush. Consider going through smaller local airports rather than major airports, because these will have fewer delays and fewer issues. You can also consider going through back roads rather than the major roads, as these routes will likely be faster even though they are longer.
