Royal Coachman Meeting Tips: NYC’s Eventi Adds Meeting App for Group and Meeting Clients

Recently, Eventi, a New York Kimpton Hotel, debuted an original customizable meeting app for its meetings group clients.  The 292-room hotel, working in tandem with PSAV, can now offer the PSAV Mobile Manager (M3) application to group meetings allowing them to use their smartphones and tablet computers as interactive event resources.

A fully customizable app, PSAV Mobile Manager can provide users with vital information about a meeting or event.  This information can include attendee lists, maps, social media tools, and meeting agendas.  When used in tandem with an Eventi sales manager, a meeting planner can set up a custom package for their event, adding the application as part of his complete meetings package.

This new app not only adds a whole new level of technology integration for meetings at the hotel, it also adds connectivity among event planners and attendees through a social media platform.  Staff at the Eventi have been trained to instruct guests on how to get the most from the app so they can be fully engaged and provide better feedback to event planners.

The hotel also goes out of  its way to help attendee guests who may have left some of their favorite tech tools at home.  Eventi has a complete “business bar” where a number of items can be borrowed by guests and meeting attendees.  Items available include mobile phone chargers, headphones, digital cameras, and more.  To acquire one of the items, one will need to call or stop by the front desk and the loan will be available for the length of the guest’s stay.

Other tech innovations at the Eventi include a 16×30 foot big screen outdoor customizable screen and an outdoor plaza.  A private screening area is also available with a 10-foot wide HD screen and Kimpton iPad kiosks are located in the lobby and can be used by all guests and meeting attendees.

This hotel, which is located in the trendy Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, has 20,000 square feet of meeting space that includes a 4,000 square-foot Ventana ballroom.  This elegant ballroom can

hold up to 400 attendees and excellent views of the city can be had from the 5,000 square-feet of outdoor terrace space.  This makes this the place for businessmen and women in the city for a meeting or convention.
