SPRINGFIELD, N.J. – The PGA Championship — which annually features one of the deepest international fields in golf and involves the participation of the most top-100 world-ranked players of any event in golf — will be played at historic Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey, July 25-31, 2016.

Baltusrol Golf Club, a representative of championship golf, is situated at the base of Baltusrol Mountain in Springfield, New Jersey, very close to New York City. This establishment has existed ever since 1895, being acknowledged as one of the country’s first golf clubs. The club has two championship courses, the Lower and the Upper, that have played remarkable roles on the national golf stage ever since their creation by A.W. Tillinghast, a Golden Age architect. During its 120-year history, Baltusrol accommodated 16 major championships, with the PGA Championship returning, for the second time, in July 2016. National Park Service recently named Baltusrol a National Historic Landmark because of its historical importance and its role in this sport.
